ESG Reporting Specialist

£75,000 Salary

As the ESG Reporting Manager/specialist, you will be working between the ESG and Finance team, to pioneer reporting and disclosures practices, implementing new tools and systems so that they are an accurate and transparent representation of the company’s ESG performance.

You’ll work as part of the ESG Finance team to ensure that the reporting about Environmental, Social
and Governance (ESG) topics is carried out in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.

Main duties/role and responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of internal and external ESG reports, coordinating input from relevant
  stakeholders and functional owners
• Gain knowledge and understanding about internal and external reporting requirements on ESG
  factors and monitor developments in emerging stakeholder needs and evolving best practice to
  comply with relevant international ESG frameworks
• Partner with metric owners, other functions and third-party specialists where appropriate to
  collect, aggregate and analyse ESG data at specified periods, with a focus on what fits with the
  Group’s strategy both for mandatory and voluntary disclosures
• Collate, analyse, and interpret ESG data from relevant functions to support company reports,
  regulatory filings, and third-party databases
• Support ESG performance reporting to senior leadership
• Design appropriate controls to mitigate risks of reporting errors and provide controls support to
  ESG metric owners, many of whom are not in Finance

Attributes/Experience Required:

• Business related university degree
• Professional qualification or certificate in ESG related topics
• Foundational understanding of ESG related topics and associated frameworks, standards and
  evolving regulations, including those relating to the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board
  (SASB), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Internal Control Over Sustainability Reporting (ICSR),
  International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and Corporate Sustainability Reporting
  Directive (CSRD).
• 7+ years of working experience in audit, assurance or advisory activities, with a focus on ESG
  related topics preferably
• Experience in a relevant subject – Finance or ESG/sustainability
• Experience in ESG sustainability/report writing, disclosure and ratings/indices, either in a
  corporate environment or as a consultant.
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with a wide-ranging group of stakeholders
  particularly internal finance teams
• Knowledge of current and forthcoming ESG initiatives, regulation and standards is
  advantageous; including, but not limited to, EU CSRD, TCFD, IFRS and GHG protocol
